WORK DESCRIPTION:

Extract from "Daena" work, only one very long track (a few over 20 minutes) of obscure dark ambient/drone, inspired by the mythological Persian figure of Daena, a goddess that appears to a person's soul after three days from his death, and whose shape reminds the inner thoughts and the past life of the person. A voyage to the deepest part of your sub-consciousness, between piercing sounds, deep drones and dilated voices.

BIO:

Mirko Cangiamila, born in Palermo, 25 years old.
Diploma in Sound Engineering, 2004/2005 in "High Musical Specialization School" of Saluzzo.
Diploma in fine art, 2002, Palermo.
Has worked as Application Attribute Beta-tester and Sound Designer at the ?IK Multimedia? company of Modena (in the audio software field) since May 2005.
Since 2000 working with digital art, both audio and video. Performancies with various electronic and electroacoustics formations. Currently working on a solo music project as Yin and experimenting with production of videos and installations.

- "Batracomiomachia (instrumental)", an electroacoustic folk song recorded as "Pibloktoq", in duo with Mario Calderaro, for "Registrazioni del Ponte 01" compilation, out on December 2005.
